D&T Asphalt are committed to the health and safety of its workforce in the provision of products and services.

D&T Asphalt values each individual employee and recognises that duty of care responsibilities and obligations are reciprocal relationship between the company and its workforce.

D&T Asphalt believes all injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable and its priority is to prevent any fatalities, injuries and / or illnesses during the course of employment. 

APPROACH

  • Demonstrated commitment to improve OHS performance.
  • To minimise the occurrence of workplace injury/disease by reducing the level of risk at work across all projects.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation, Australian Standards, other responsible industry requirements and attain accreditation to AS/NZS OHSAS 18001:2007.
  • Focus on continual improvement to health and safety of the workforce.
  • Capability and support mechanisms that are necessary to achieve OHS objectives and targets.
  • To provide informative feedback mechanisms about H&S to the workforce.
  • Develop a culture which focuses on risk management through monitoring and reporting measures.
  • The effectiveness of the OHS management system, and its continuing suitability. 

Commitment

This policy applies to all D&T Asphalt Personnel, its contractors, and visitors affiliated with D&T Asphalt, across all projects and operations at all times.

Managers and supervisors have a duty of care to monitor the work environment, prevent exposure of the workforce to hazards or harm and promote this policy.

The D&T Asphalt Directors commit to ensuring the organisation operates in a safe, efficient manner and will take all reasonable steps to ensure the health and wellbeing of the workforce by providing a safe working environment throughout its operations at all times.

This policy shall be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to our business and is to be made available to employees and interested parties upon requres and through its display in a prominent position at each location.
